Call for Papers – ASAC 2019

The Business History division of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) invites you to submit a paper, extended abstract, case, symposium or workshop proposal for the 47th annual ASAC conference.

The conference theme, “Harvest,” comes from our understanding of the vital role agribusiness plays in contributing to local prosperity and global demand. It is also derived from our own execution and dissemination of research, which helps grow knowledge towards improving business practices and quality of life. Across Canada, millions of individuals engage in producing, packaging, selling, and improving agricultural products. In parallel, all across Canada business scholars engage in producing, explaining, publishing and improving our research, with the purpose of addressing the needs of society.

Original papers, written in English or French and not previously published or presented elsewhere, should be submitted to the appropriate division according to the Original Paper Style Guide on the ASAC 2019 EasyChair submission site, also accessible on the ASAC website. All contributions will be peer reviewed; best paper awards will be given by each division.

New this year, ASAC invites you to submit your work-in-progress and receive support from your colleagues in developing your paper. Work-in-progress submissions, written in English or French, should be 1,200 – 1,500 words (excluding references) and should otherwise follow the formatting of a paper submission. The abstracts of work-in-progress submissions will be included in the conference proceedings, but these submissions are not eligible for full publication in the proceedings nor for best paper awards.

The ASAC Case division invite both English and French submissions, in either the regular or cases in development streams.

Members interested in organizing a symposium or workshop, in English or French, should submit a proposal according to the Symposium and Workshop submission instructions available on the EasyChair submission site, as well as the ASAC website, and be submitted to the appropriate division on the ASAC 2019 EasyChair submission site. Proposals can be submitted to one division only.

The deadline for all submissions to the 2019 ASAC conference is Monday, February 11th, at 12 noon, Eastern Standard Time.
