Redpath Sugar Ltd Joins Canadian Business History Association as Corporate Member

The Canadian Business History Association is pleased to welcome Redpath Sugar Ltd. as a Charter Corporate Member.  Redpath Sugar Ltd, who markets and sells sugar products in Canada under the Redpath Brand, is a Canadian sugar refining company that was established in 1854 with the first facility to refining cane sugar in Montreal, Quebec.

The company is a part of ASR Group, the world's largest refiner of cane sugar.  Redpath Sugar’s office and refinery are located on the waterfront in Toronto, Ontario and provides sugar products to consumers, food service outlets and food manufacturers throughout Canada. The company also operates a dry blending and packaging plant in Belleville, Ontario. This location co-manufactures major retail brands and private labels products, such as sweetened iced tea, hot chocolate, and other sugar containing products for Canadian and export markets.  The Redpath logo, which is derived from founder John Redpath's own script, is Canada's oldest continuously-used food product trademark.
