Please join us for a long-awaited return to our cherished in-person conference with some virtual capacity and interaction built in as well.
The Program Committee invites submissions for the presentation of scholarly work-in-progress, research methods, teaching and curriculum ideas, digital innovation, public history, and issues of importance to women scholars and to the future of the profession. Proposals for panels, roundtables, posters, or workshops in all fields, regions, and periods of history are welcome. Priority consideration will be given to proposals submitted as complete or mostly complete sessions.
Keynote Speaker: Adria L. Imada, Professor of History, UC Irvine. Professor Imada’s address will draw from her new book An Archive of Skin, An Archive of Kin: Disability and Life Making during Medical Incarceration (University of California Press, 2022). She is the prize-winning author of Aloha America: Hula Circuits through the U.S. Empire (Duke University Press, 2012).
The WAWH values inclusivity and welcomes participation from historians from all faculty ranks and career paths, including graduate students, unaffiliated scholars, museum and library professionals, and history practitioners in allied fields. The Program Committee expects that all panels will be diverse in their composition. Looking for colleagues to collaborate with on a session?
