Join us for another informative CBHA Webinar Talk.  Professor Dimitry Anastakis, Chair of the CBHA/ACHA, leads an expert panel on the fascinating history of family-controlled public companies in Canada.

Panelists:

Professor Dimitry Anastakis, Chair of the CBHA/ACHA and Professor at the Rotman School of Management and the Department of History and the L.R. Wilson/R.J. Currie Chair in Canadian Business History.

Rod McQueen, a journalist for thirty years who has written for numerous magazines and newspapers, and has also done broadcast work. Major focus was business, the economy, and international trade, and has also written about politics and entertainment. The author of twenty books, he received the National Business Book Award for Who Killed Confederation Life? and the Canadian Authors Association award in history for the #1 best-seller, The Eatons: The Rise and Fall of Canada’s Royal Family.

Gordon Pitts, contributor and former staff writer for The Globe and Mail. He is an author, public speaker and business journalist, with a focus on management, strategy, and leadership.  An author of numerous books, he was the 2009 winner of Canada's National Business Book Award for his fifth book, Stampede: The Rise of the West and Canada's New Power Elite.  Of note is his book In the Blood: Battles to Succeed in Canada's Family Businesses'.
