ASAC 2022 will be a hybrid conference with the in-person event taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in partnership with Dalhousie University, from June 3 to 7.
Over the past few years, we have all grown accustomed to virtual events, meetings and conferences given the need for physical distancing. While we will proceed cautiously and within the parameters of public health for in-person gatherings, we also want to continue welcoming attendees who would choose to attend virtually for a variety of reasons, including environmental impact, financial resources, and other commitments. We can do this in a few ways, one of which is offering an online component for the conference to promote virtual access.
Being that a hybrid conference format is new for ASAC, the first few years will require experimentation, analysis, and an understanding that this is a work-in-progress. We appreciate your understanding to this end, as we are currently researching our options, the technical systems required, and potential formats for hybrid delivery of the 2022 conference.
In the submission process, you will be asked if you plan to attend ASAC 2022 in-person, virtually, or if you are unsure. This will further assist us in developing the best possible format for the conference. We will provide more information about the conference format as it becomes available, and as we look to the future, we are committed to continuing to innovate how we convene for future conferences.
