The Canadian Business History Association's public presentation of Fortunes & Family Feuds: The Chequered History of Family Controlled Public Companies, held on December 16th, is now available for viewing on the organizations YouTube Channel.

This fascinating talk was moderated by Professor Dimitry Anastakis, Chair of the CBHA. Panelists included:

Rod McQueen, a journalist for thirty years who has written for numerous magazines and newspapers, and has also done broadcast work. His major focus is business, the economy, and international trade, and he has also written about politics and entertainment. The author of twenty books, he received the National Business Book Award for Who Killed Confederation Life? and the Canadian Authors Association award in history for the #1 best-seller, The Eatons: The Rise and Fall of Canada’s Royal Family.

Gordon Pitts, contributor and former staff writer for The Globe and Mail. He is an author, public speaker and business journalist, with a focus on management, strategy, and leadership.  An author of numerous books, he was the 2009 winner of Canada's National Business Book Award for his fifth book, Stampede: The Rise of the West and Canada's New Power Elite.  Of note is his book In the Blood: Battles to Succeed in Canada's Family Businesses'.
