The Canadian Business History Association, in partnership with the Oral History Centre, presents a free two hour workshop for members with an interest in oral history, including those currently engaged in its practice or those generally working within the field of business history. Part One will present rationales, best practices and professional standards for corporate oral history programs/projects, while Part Two will consist of a moderated roundtable to extend the discussion of these issues to practical considerations such as ethics and legal matters, internal support, and creative employment of oral histories for the purpose of employee engagement and internal decision-making.
The workshop will take place on TD Tower's historic 54th floor. Designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1967 as a space for executive meetings and events, it is one of the best preserved modern office interiors in Canada.
